Long Business Description

Settlers Crossing Golf Course is the premiere golf facility in Lunenburg, Massachusetts, a quaint community with a history that dates back to the early 1700s. In those days, Lunenburg included the area that is now Lunenburg, Fitchburg and part of Ashby. The Meeting House, which was the hub of all civic and religious activity in the colonial era, was located in the present day Lunenburg Center. Settlers from the western parts of the town, which are now Fitchburg, used to travel more than six miles for Sunday services and other civic meetings at the house. They traveled over the "Old Northfield Road," which runs through our golf course -- thus the name, Settlers Crossing Golf Course.

Settlers Crossing is a regulation-length 9-hole course that features rolling hills, stone walls, tree-lined fairways, views of Mt. Wachusett and the foothills of the Monadnocks. Our course is a daily fee facility, and we pride ourselves on offering reasonable rates. Here at Settlers Crossing we guarantee a pleasurable and friendly day. Our course is both challenging and enjoyable. It's a true joy to play.

Lunenburg Golf Course Amenities
Many visitors fall in love with our clubhouse, which is a first period colonial house built in 1800. It is a gorgeous example of late 17th century construction, and a popular venue for photos. Our pro shop can also accommodate all of your equipment needs and our PGA Professional Don Lyons is available for lessons.

Settlers Pub serves beer, wine, alcoholic beverages, food and snacks both in the clubhouse and on the course.

Don't forget to stop in and say hello!
